Windows 8.1 OEM question

Hi guys,

I'm looking on eBay to buy a copy of Windows 8.1 OEM. I noticed on one sellers disk it said "for use with cyberpower PC's." I asked if the software and key would work on another computer. He told me that since cyberpower doesn't have their own SLIC key in the bios, it should work. He apparently got the disk with his cyberpower laptop, but immediately wiped the OS and installed a new one. The key is unused.

Will this work on a different computer since there is no SLIC key in the bios?

That most likely is an OEM System builders licence and is transferable. I wouldn't trust a key off e-bay though.

I would not take the chance. Just buy a normal legit license and don't worry.
