Reinstall to new drive using recovery partition

I have an Asus laptop with win 8.1. UEFI BIOS. The C drive partition is corrupted with hardware errors. (I used a Linux live CD to test.) it won't boot anymore. The recovery partition is intact however and I could make a copy of it. I didn't make a recovery USB or DVD, sadly. I have a new drive, and would like to use the recovery partition or a copy of it to install and activate Windows on the new drive. I have a spare large USB drive and other computers available. Can this be done? I'd like to avoid days of delay by ordering recovery media from Asus. Seems like what I have ought to be enough...

I may have a solution.

can you access the non-damaged part of the disk when you plug it on another PC?

perhaps you can make a copy of the recovery partition in one of your PC

then use the tool ASUS Backtracker.

EDIT: Sorry my bad, as far as i know you cannot see/access the partition as it is hidden, you must unhide it first via command prompt

see these steps, and if you get lost somewhere, ask again here. I can't remember the exact way i did it correctly.
Unhide the Recovery Partition on a Basic Disk with DiskPart. - Default Reasoning
