Glad to hear finally you got it sorted.
Just leave it the way it is. You don't really need secure boot, Google for more info on Secure Boot.
Now, you have a working system so I would suggest to make a Backup Image for it.

Here is a free good Backup software: Macrium Reflect Free

Great, glad to hear all is ok for now.

Probably agood idea to make images evry now and then, as Topgun suggested.

You can use several free programs for that. As Aomei partition manager was useful, you might try the aomei Backupper, the standard version is free and easy to use.

You should enable secure boot in your bios settings.

Note: Secure boot protect users from rootkits and other low-level malware attacks by blocking unauthorized (non-signed) executables and drivers from being loaded during the boot process.

If you ever reinstall Windows 8 again, you don't need to turn secure boot off. You only need to turn secure boot off to install Windows 7.

I had a dual boot installation of Windows 8 and PCLinuxOS. I needed more space so I got rid of the Linux. Now it won't boot since it is looking for GRUB which is an OS selector to enable Linux to run under windows. I feel so stupid. Please Help me. Thank You, Kent G. Bailey
