I'm guessing you are encountering an issue that might be graphics related. With that said, you can try these suggestions:

Make sure you are running the latest bios version
Set your bios to optimized defaults (no overclocking)
Check to see if your first choice graphics is set to PCI-E
If not, adjust accordingly
Try a clean install again

OR

Make sure you are running the latest bios version
Unplug your GTX 750 (optional)
Move the monitor cable to your integrated port
Set your bios to optimized defaults (no overclocking)
Check to see if your first choice graphics is set to integrated (or whatever it is called in your bios)
Try a clean install again.
If successful, plug your PCI-E grahics card back in and move the monitor cable back to same.
Reboot and see what happens.
If the addition of the PCI-E fails (after the OS installation) then at least you will know the cause.

Good luck,

PS: You have a nice rig BTW

It's probably a problem with using TV as monitor and drivers are not set to display on it. Can you try with an ordinary monitor ?. You can set it to TV later on, when all the drivers are installed.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I'll try using the integrated graphics. And I'll reset my my BIOS and put it back to AHCI. I'll update the thread when I've done that :)

I have seen problems like that using TVs for display. It might work up to time when GPU drivers kick in, send wrong signal to it and bang, black screen. (Two black cats fighting in a tunnel during the night, I call that).

How long have you waited when it gets to the black screen? I've gotten that black screen and the activity light on my thumb drive is still going. After what seems like a long time the install does continue.

Yeah, I'll see if it does continue, but when I check my DVD or USB nothing is really going on. Like the sound of the DVD spinning is gone, and the activity light on my USB stops.

Have a look at HDD light, after file transfer, most things during setup are happening on it.
