Hello
I got the Win 8.1 Pro x 64 file from a friend but I burned the dvd as .iso.
I think I should have done it as .exe but am not sure.
So I have the disc as .iso but need the file if it should be .exe.
Could you please send me the Win 8.1 file that I can burn and let me know if it is .iso or .exe?
Thank you
Peter

Could you elaborate a little on what you've got, what you've done and why or what you are hoping to accomplish.

Peter, you did the right thing. You used Ashampoo to burn a CD/DVD from a Disc Image file.

Thank you all for your advice. Please see Ztruker's reply which says it all. My burner, Ashampoo had choices which confused me and he was kind enough to point them out. I had to burn an image file and a data file and was confused as to which way to burn each. I now understand it. Sorry about the extra work an thank you for responding.
Peter
