Migrate from SSD to SSHD?

  1. #11

Well i thought I did. When I went to %systemroot%, then went up a folder, (I put an empty folder here called "new" to separate the drives) I saw that folder in the root of my SSHD. Or so I thought.

Turns out all my data is still fine in the SSD (currently running that OS right now), so all is good. I got a TB external that I'm gonna store all my data, then wipe, and start fresh. That's always the answer that works for me lol

I usually unplug the 'main' disk before booting from the cloned one, just to make sure the MBR wont be left behind.Maybe all this "thread-bumpIng" attracts an expert on fixing your BOOTMBR,it never happened to me,too careful. If only the boot manager is missing,it should be repairable.

Wish i had thought of that beforehand, lol.

So i have a flash drive with Windows 8 installer on it, is there a hidden command prompt so I can fix my MBR

Should I migrate from Win 7 HE x64 to Win 8 RP 32 bit?
I have a dilemma here. Right now I'm using a HP notebook with Core i5 and 2gb DDR3 RAM. It is preinstalled with Win 7 HE 64 bit. I've used it for close to a year and just recently I've reformatted it and install a clean Win 7 HE 64bit without the bloatware from HP. I've saved some RAM resources by...
