Hello,
About 9 Months ago, I bought a Windows 8 laptop from Toshiba. I decided that I wanted Windows 8 Pro, so I bought a Retail Upgrade. I upgraded, and it is running Windows 8 Pro to this day. But I am getting a desktop (Dell Inspiron 518 with Upgraded RAM and CPU) and I want Windows 8 Pro on it. It currently has Windows Vista SP2 on it.

Is there any possible way to transfer my Windows 8 Pro upgrade license to it?

NOTE: The Inspiron that I a getting has BIOS, not UEFI.

You will need to reinstall the Toshiba Pre-Install Windows 8.

Can I transfer the software to another computer or user? You may transfer the software to another computer that belongs to you. You may also transfer the software (together with the license) to a computer owned by someone else if a) you are the first licensed user of the software and b) the new user agrees to the terms of this agreement. To make that transfer, you must transfer the original media, the certificate of authenticity, the product key and the proof of purchase directly to that other person, without retaining any copies of the software. You may use the backup copy we allow you to make or the media that the software came on to transfer the software. Anytime you transfer the software to a new

Have you made the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Disks?

We always assume you have made your Recovery Disks using the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Media Creator app the first day you had your new PC.
& made the Startup Repair CD. (Windows 8 only)

You can order the Microsoft official OEM Recovery disks from the OEM manufacturer's website.

I still have the Recovery Partition that came with my computer, so I will use that. (The Partition that comes with the computer, and allows you to reset your computer completely.)
