Tried to partationing with epm, error 0xc0000225

Hello,

I bought Dell inspiron with pre installed windows 8. My research says that it has product key on bios. It came with only one partation. I tried to shrink c and making new partations using epm. after boot I got this error. "A required device is not connected or can't be accesed." I have nither any recovery disk, nor installation disk nor dell disks. I tried to search on internet somewhere I found that this problem is due to currption of boot manager. My laptop has gpt partations scheme. I can probably repair my boot manager using How can I repair the Windows 8 EFI Bootloader? - Super User. But as I said I don't have any disks. Please help me.

What easybcd partitioning tool?

information   Information

We always assume you have made your Recovery Disks using the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Media Creator app the first day you had your new PC.
& made the Startup Repair CD. (Windows 8 only)

Have you made the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Disks?

I would recommend you making the OEM manufacturer's Recovery DVD's or USB drive.

Hi there

The best, easiest and safest partition manager around is simply GPARTED. Download and create a bootable USB srtick or DVD - your choice.

If you feel you could handle a LINUX command - even easier - download any common Linux distro LIVECD and simply after the GUI starts run GPARTED from the menu.

GParted | Free Development software downloads at SourceForge.net

Linux Mint 17 "Qiana" - KDE (64-bit) - Linux Mint

The Easeus stuff should have a few letters re-arranged such as ASS......

You don't need any boot recovery 3rd party stuff -- simply boot Windows repair disk and go to the bootrec directory and type fixboot followed by fixmbr. You can create a windows repair disk from any windows running system - tutorial is in the forum.

Cheers
