Hi guys, I have Ubuntu 13.10 installed on my asus vivobook s400ca, and would like to install windows 8 on it.
I have a 8 gb flash drive, which I have prepared with Rufus on a Windows 7 pc (Asus U31S), with the following settings: https://www.dropbox.com/s/a8e4e3wh3z...screenshot.png
When trying to boot from this flash drive on my s400ca, the pc doesn't detect the USB/windows. This is weird, as when I put ubuntu on the USB, it is able to start up with it. I've read on a few forums something about secure boot and UEFI, but to be honest I have no idea of what I'm doing, and that's why I'm reaching out, as you might be able to help!
I've noticed a few things which might help me solve this issue:
It's the same USB I used to install Ubuntu with in the first place. I've also tried installing windows 7, but bios still doesn't detect it.
Mounting using Fat32 formatting on the USB allows me to see the USB in BIOS, but I still cannot start from it.
Any idea of what I could try to do?
