New win 8 full version install

I will soon install w8 full, now have w7, will i be able to use w7 rescue to reset to w7 and when i need to, reset to w8 using w8 full install disc as rescue disc?? Dalton

You can reinstall Windows 7 with your Windows 7 Recovery DVD.

You can reinstall Windows 8 with your Windows 8 DVD, but after updating to 8.1 you will need a Windows 8.1 DVD.

Sorry about that, this new buy is win 8.1 full version, i have a rescue disc for the present win 7. Dalton

Just a thought but if you want to switch back and forth between Win 8 and Win 7, why don't you set up a dual boot set up? It's very easy to do and easily controlled If you set it up installing Win 8 or 8.1. You'll be booting to Win 8 and at boot up win 8 will give you the option as to which system you boot to. Just leave the set up this way, If you select boot to win 7 first your have the old win 7 boot up option slower and less intuitive.
