Solved Laptop Has Bogus Windows 8 Install

I saw another thread that had a jpg of their activation window and it is exactly like mine There is a statement that that activation is good until a certain date.
The laptop originally came with Win 8 (UEFI). It now has Win 8 Pro. I just purchased a copy of Win 8.1 (OEM).
Can I wipe the HD and install the 8.1 ? If yes, will someone provide some links for a "clean install" ?

To clean install:
1) Clean the HD Drive, using Step one in this tutorial:

Appreciate the response. No recovery disk is available nor is there a recovery partition.
The current install is bogus. It is a volume license key that expires in six months.
I have the key, etc, but I would like a clean install using the OEM 8.1 that I purchased.
