Dear forum readers,
I tried to install Windows 8 Developer Preview.
After some initial problems, i succeeded in installing Windows 8 (dual boot ) on my laptop.
However, for some reason my printer was installed, but not working.
Printer: Canon LBP6000, it appeared in the control panel, but no properties of the printer.
Tried to download 64-bit drivers from Canon for Windows 7.
Installed the driver, rebooted and try to print.
Error message: something like connection problems. Booted in Windows 7, no problems with printing.
Rebooted in Windows 8,
Got an error message from Explorer.exe and the laptop shuts down.
Windows 8 started
try to fix the printer problems, still not managed to get the printer working.
Then i tried to log of and shut down, Windows 8 did not want to log of, so i tried <CTRL><ALT><DEL>
and got finally to the option to shut down.
Got an error message from Explorer.exe and the laptop shuts down.
Since Windows 8 is not stable on my system, especially not able to shut down, or log of normally,
I want to get rid of Windows 8 Developer Release, but i do not like to loose Windows 7.
It is a dual-boot system.
Hope someone can explain to me how to safely remove Windows 8 Developer Preview. And keep Windows 7, without the Windows 8 Developer Preview boot loader.
Best regards,
