Windows 8 Installation freezes? Help please!

I have recently bought Windows 8 Standard 64bit for my new PC (built by me). However, when I try to install it, it copies all the files for installation, restarts, then at the Win 8 splash screen the loading circle (http://media.askvg.com/articles/images5/Windows_8_RTM_Boot_Screen.gif), it just freezes. I have no idea why. After freezing for about 15 mins, the PC just turns off. Can someone please help?
