Removing Windows 8

Hi
I have had enough of Windows 8, its rubbish, it has screwed up most of my programs and caused me much unneeded stress since I installed this crappy system

I have another PC running on Windows 7 Ultimate, I forget about this and had an idea to use the hard drive and install it on my main PC. I managed to get this hard drive working alongside my Windows 8 HDD and I'm still busy loading all my programs to work on Windows 7 OS.

The problem I'm having is that sometimes when starting up my PC for some reason it sometimes tries booting up into Windows 8. How do I stop this from occurring, basically I want to remove Windows 8 which is now allocated to 'D' Drive. I don't want to screw things up, so please can you advise me on the best and safest method of removing this crap from my drive.

Also the upgrade to Windows 8 cost me $147, is there any way I can get a refund on this, as I am not pleased with the amount of damage and headaches this has cost me over many months.
Now that I'm using Windows 7 its like a breath of fresh air, all my programs are running so smoothly its a shear joy to use :D

Hope someone out there can advise me on this.
Kind Regards
Keith

Hi
I have just done checks on my system.

The new HDD (80GB) with Windows 7 is a separate physical drive from my main HDD with Windows 8 on it, this disk had previously had Windows XP and I upgraded it to 8.

This disk is 1TB capacity, when I first used this I had partitioned it as follows; 'C', 'D', 'E' and 'F', I got into the habit of doing this as I used to build PCs and installed OS from as far back as Windows 95, partitioning keeps the OS separate from other programs and when you have a fault with the OS your not going to erase everything on your complete drive.

So I looked into the drives through 'Disk Management', there I saw that; 'C' (Win 7) and 'D' (Win 8) were both active drives. I 'Deleted drive 'D' thinking this would stop it trying to boot on startup, this worked perfectly :thumb:

I rebooted then went back to 'D' drive in disk management and 'Formatted it, now I only have 1 drive that's 'Active' (Win 7 on 'C')

Just wondering if this is okay to do it this way and will it cause any problems down the line ?

Regards
Keith

I just built myself a new pc and gone back to Win 7, updates (don't know which) kept causing my monitor to just flash black and grey, only happened on win 8(disappointing) and with quite a good build iv'e had no problems with 100% CPU Usage which i had before.
Upgrade ur pc and fresh install 7
