Win 8.1 Preview to Win 8.1 RTM without complete reinstall?

Is there a way to go from 8.1 preview which is running beautifully after a clean install a while back to 8.1 RTM without having to reinstall everything AGAIN?

It seems that even if I waited until October I wouldn't even be able to do the 8.1 upgrade when it is released from the 8.1 preview system (not sure on this). I have a legit 8.0 key if that helps.

I don't think anybody knows for sure? I'm betting you won't be able to do it thought the store, you'll be blocked. I read something a while back that stated you could edit a file on the ISO to do what you want. It might have been for going from the preview version of 8 to the final without doing a reinstall. I can't find that article at the moment. There is a file that defines what versions are allowed to be upgraded, if you edit it or delete it you won't be blocked from doing the upgrade. This only works if you have the ISO file though. Even then I can't say what it will let you keep or not keep as I can't find the article I was reading.
