Hi people.
Im sure Im not the first one with this problem but all tge solutions didn't help. Im reinstalling windows 8 on my just formatted hard drives since I've filled up 1.5 terabyte with rubbish. (Not porn) and now I can't install it again?
Sorry for the misspellings... Im on my phone.

Assuming there's nothing you want to keep on that partition, try using the Delete option to make the partition into unallocated space.

Can you explain a bit more about the configuration shown in your video? I see two drives that both have a system identifier. Is there another OS involved in this configuration?

Nope. I had windows 8 before till I formatted both of them. Now i wanna reinstall windows. One of the hard drives (500 gb) was the one with windows before and the other was a extra intern hard drive with nothing on it.

OK, thanks for that; however, David Y's suggestion should work. Look at the screenshot below and notice that the "delete" function appears to be available (boxed in red). If you select that for each drive, you should end up with 2 drives that are 100% unallocated (just as David advised). Once done, simply click the drive you want to install Win 8 on and then next to continue the installation. Now, I know you said you tried that; however, please tell us what happened when you tried that method and please be as specific as possible.

No need for another recording. I just wanted to make sure you tried what David Y suggested. Anyway, what exactly does that message say because there are a few key words that are not clear. I know it says something about checking a log.

Alternatively, you might also want to try and wipe those hard drives clean using a utility like GParted. This works outside the confines of Windows 8 and it should get you to that 100% unallocated point so you can continue your installation gracefully:

GParted -- Download

GParted -- GParted Manual
