    Question

    Windows stop BAD_POOL_HEADER error.
    Cause

This error is generated when a driver or part of Windows does not allocate the memory properly, and can be caused by any of the below possibilities.
    1. Bad hardware drivers.
    2. Issues with NTFS file system or disk write issues.
    3. Issue with software program, e.g. anti-virus scanner.
I would suggest, if at all possible, you re-install Windows 8. Also check to make sure that the partition is not corrupted in any way, and that there are no HDD errors.

Well it may have just been the partition, i used Paragon pArtition Manager to create the partition before, so i reformatted the partition from the Windows setup and reinstalled and it worked fine. Windows also like to remove other OS's (Windows 7) from the boot menu so i had to use easybcd to add the entry for windows 7 for a successful dual boot option. Thanks for the swift responses.

@zigzag3143: No, i'm using a burnt DVD image.
