I used an old windows xp computer to get the iso because im trying to bootcamp windows 8. But after 2 and a half hours of downloading and file checking and all that,i was greeted with the screen i needed. Which only had install now and install later from desktop.... So after spending $120 im quite upset and need a little help, the quicker the answer the better.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Also i went ahead and clicked install later, was that a bad idea?

Windows XP does that I'm afraid - you don't get the "install by creating media" option, in my experience at least.

Also, because the Windows XP computer is most likely 32-bit, you'll only be able to download a 32-bit version and not 64-bit that way, because you get the installer with the same number of bits as the computer you download from. I don't know enough about Bootcamp to know if that's a good or a bad thing for what you're trying to do?

Hello Rewkie, and welcome to Eight Forums.

As David posted above, you will only be able to get a 64-bit Windows 8 ISO file while downloading it from a 64-bit Windows PC. A friends if need be.

Your Windows 8 product key will not be affected by where you download the ISO. As usual, you'll only be able to have one computer at the same time activated with the same product key.

Hope this helps some, :)
