I installed Windows 8 on laptop that came with Windows 7. Everything works fine but every time I start up the laptop I get the notation system resuming. I did not put the laptop to sleep but told it to shut down. This is not a great problem unless I want to get into the bios. Right now the only way I can get the option to enter the bios is by restarting the system. This is also the only way to really shut down the laptop, restart, get into the bios, hit the power button.
Any reason why Windows 8 is not shutting down my laptop would be appreciated.
