W8.1 to Go Visual studio 2013 Great portable dev system !
Hi there just for the fun of it I installed Visual Studio (PRO) 2013 Previewon the Windows to Go 8.1 system I'd just made.
Works fine for the limited bit of messing around I've done with it
Incidentally I'm going to UNINSTALL it and install Visual Studio 2013 EXPRESS instead -- it's much more suited for a beginner -- the Full visual Studio (tried from Work) really is more suitable to PROFESSIONAL I.T developers --and I'm definitely not in that rank -- however the idea of having a PORTABLE development platform makes the Windows to Go tool a really interesting piece of software -- but install on an SSD if you use Visual studio. Even connected to a USB2 rather than a USB3 device performance is just FINE.
(Visual Studio 2012 runs as well BTW -- ignore the compatibility message when starting).
Cheers
