Earlier today I began downgrading from Windows 8 Pro to Windows 7 Professional edition. I loaded the Windows 7 image file onto my USB using Rufus and disabled safe boot from my BIOS settings. I received an error at the installation saying "Windows setup could not configure Windows to run on this computer's hardware." So I looked it up and it said I had to create custom partitions for Windows to be installed to. I erased EVERYTHING off my Hard Drive, created the partition for Windows to be installed to and received the "Windows setup could not configure Windows to run on this computer's hardware." error again. I've tried changing many BIOS settings, removing the USB before the first restart and numerous other things I've seen on other forums. I really need help as all I have it a blank hard drive and a Windows 7 install disc, I really need to get the OS up and running ASAP as I'm in the middle of a project I have to complete.
