I want to upgrade my installed Windows 8 OEM to Windows 8 Pro. Already have the bits. I'm looking for some practical advice and tips from folks who've already done this.

I'm a long-time computer user, so I'm well acquainted with the general advice for upgrading an OS: backup, unplug peripherals, etc. I'm hoping for specific advice people have for upgrading Windows 8 OEM to Pro.

Before you suggest Google, let me tell you: Search for this topic and you'll find how to upgrade to Windows 8 Pro from earlier versions of Windows, or how to buy Windows 8 Pro. Not my question.

Thanks for your help.
