Hello, I recently discovered that my new computer has an illegal version of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 set up on it, so I want to install a legal operating system. I decided to go with Windows 8, and ordered the Windows 8 64-bit (Full Version) - OEM. I figured, the upgrade version was not the way to go. What is the best way to install the new OS? I've read a few articles that say format first, others say boot off the new disk and then format from the disk. What are your recommendations, and a step by step if anyone has one? The illegal version is on the SSD drive, which is where I want to place the legal OS. Being new, there are no files or programs on the computer that I need to save. Thank you and I appreciate your time.
