Solved Installation knot

Hi, on my old Win7 system with 3 separate partitions: Win7.64, Win7.32 and Server (+System Reserved) I decided to install Win8 Pro 64 Upgrade.
My default in Boot Manager was Win7.32 but my intended target was partition #2 - Win7.64.
After booting from a Win8.64 CD and a long wait I selected the first option - to preserve settings and was greeted with a message to remove CD and restart installation. I (more or less) did that and the installation proceeded without asking me for a target partition. It seems to have finished but on re-boot at the point when a desktop should be displayed it crashes and re-boots.
Since then I none of my 3 separate copies work. Even after restoring from the system image backup (Win7.64)
I have then tried to install it again, this time selecting Custom (Advanced) option and I WAS asked for the target partition but the end result was the same.
I have since disconnected my external USB drive and disabled my second monitor on the motherboard bu I'm getting nowhere.

Any advice?

Thanks, Karol

No, I haven't heard of it.
And, when run it showed several problems. The most important is lack of compatibility with Secure Boot.
This may or may not be my problem. I'll have to investigate it further. Other problems (WMC, DVD Player) I knew about
or I don't care.
Thanks for the tip.
Karol
