So fun situation I find myself in, I purchased an SSD to install in my laptop (my laptop supports 2 hard drives). The laptop came preinstalled with windows 8, I do have back up images of my current set up, but the hard drive that I am currently using is much larger and has much more data than the ssd can hold on it so I can not install windows 8 using that image. I tried following this tutorial: http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/18309-windows-8-upgrade-iso-download-create.html but when I get to the step where you enter your product code it states that my product code can not be used to download the iso file I need to do a clean install. not entirely sure how to proceed without purchasing a product key from Microsoft which I would rather not do. And before any one asks or suggests it I can not find a way to get the media I need from the system manufacturer.
