I'm trying to install windows 8 since my older computer passes the requirements, but i've ran into a problem finding a program to let me flash the iso image onto a usb drive. I cannot use DISKPART from the command prompt since windows XP does not recognize a usb drive as a disk, and I cannot use the program that microsoft has specifically provided for windows 7 as it will not run on my computer.

What i'd like to know is if there is anyway I can flash the iso image onto my usb drive and make it bootable so I can give windows 8 a try.

Thanks in advance

No it's not what I need. Actually what I need is something like that but an alternative. That specific program cannot run on my windows XP computer. Is there a program like this that I can use to flash the iso image over to a usb?

I just extracted the contents of the ISO and copied all the files over to a formatted Usb and booted that way. Worked fine for me.
