Solved Installing Windows 8 developer 64 bit on 3 home PC's

TI was advised to purchase the Developer disk for my install so i could install on all 3 of my home pc's.
However, the Disk only has one product key. The 2 others Pc's will not activate saying the product key is in use by another PC??/

Please advise?:huh:

There is NO Windows 8 Developer x64 DVD.

Maybe you were advised to use system builder software. I'm not too familiar with licenses for use on multiple computers, but this excerpt (from here) seems to imply that system builder can be used on up to 5 computers with proper licensing:

"System Builder product may not be used:
  • As an upgrade license for an existing underlying Windows operating system.
  • To legalize a non-genuine Windows operating system.
  • To license more than five copies of the software (in total) for commercial use."

I leave it to you to take it from here. I assume, however, that you are not a commercial user--from what you say about home PC's.

Windows 8 System Builder OEM DVD 64 Bit is the disc that I purchased.

Yeah I use Newegg and Tiger Direct both are very good suppliers.

You are allowed up to 5 installs, when you buy 5 separate keys in a commercial environment with that software. You aren't allowed to install it onto 5 computers with a single key. I think you were not well informed when you purchased the software.
