Hi,
I am trying to install windows 7 on my laptop. I had windows 8 64bit installed.
I was not aware of the GPT partition until a ran into this problem.
The problem. I had all my files/documents etc on the d:/ I formatted the c:/ thinking I could just install windows 7 onto the c: but ran into error "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The Selected disk is of the GPT Partition style"
I now need to somehow get my files off the d:/ before I perform the convert to mbr to then successfully install windows 7 on my laptop.
Any ideas on the easiest way to do this? I don't have any other windows 8 machine. I did try to boot into a mini version xp/7 to see if I could see the partition to copy the files but it partition type cannot be seen.
Please help.....
Thanks
