Hi.
Since I have swap my HDD into my new laptop I get "access denied" on several folders...
I had to replace my laptop for another one, i.e. another identical laptop. So in order to keep all my already installed programs, I simply exchanged the 2 HDDs from the broken laptop to the new one without thinking that windows8 might have used during the initial installation the hdd, the network card (mac address), and some other physical identifiers into building the registry and its security scheme.
What can I do to fix this problem?
Also, to make things more complicated, I used an external disk drive (MyBook from WD) to do my backups and it failed somehow while I was creating a disk image. Since that time my folders paths in the Library are still pointing to the disk drive "MyBook" which is still on a disk dive that will never resurface as it is physically broken.
