Just purchased a new desktop PC with Win8, after some video card issues (now resolved), tried to run System File Checker and received:
"Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them...."
I copied the CBS file to take a look but i'm not really sure which of the multiple errors are causing my issue.
I've got a few:
"[DIRSD OWNER WARNING]"
and
"Failed to create CSI transaction"
"Failed to get CSI Inventory"

thanks for any help!

You might have to run sfc /scannow a few times as needed until you get a message: Windows did not find any integrity violation.

Also, try to run it in safe mode
