Installing 32bit windows 7 on a current windows 8 64bit pc

I am currently running windows 8 64bit OS. I have a windows 7 32bit .iso file. I want to install the windows 7 32 bit while keeping the windows 8 64bit too. Please help and suggestions of any kind are welcome.

You will need a product key. Do you have one? And, where would the 32-bit install be located?

Thanks for replying in minutes. Yes i do have the product key and in fact i previosly used windows 7. I have the iso file stored in my hard disk and i very well know how to make a bootable usb. I would like to install it in the same hard disk. And by the way i forgot to mention that both windows 7 & 8 are professional versions

I meant to ask if you have a product key that was not forfeited when you installed Win 8. I have not yet done dual booting under 7 and 8. But, I have always had the idea that things go more smoothly if the newer OS is installed second. I have seen individuals say you can do it the other way around with 7 and 8 (as I am sure you can do one way or another with any pair), but I haven't seen instructions for doing so. Doing it this way presumably would be more difficult. Anyway, check this tutorial out: Dual Boot Installation - Windows 8 and Windows 7 or Vista.

With only 1gb of ram, you would best installing Windows 8 x32.

OP, this thread won't apply to you precisely (deals with UEFI), but it might provide some insights. I have been waiting to see instructions for doing something along the lines of what you want to do also. Not sure how to proceed, but proceeding shouldn't be too hard. I don't really want to have to start from scratch again on Win8, although it's not that big a deal since .... You might want to add a GB of RAM as theog's post might be taken to imply.

I don't see any problem dual booting Win 8 with 7 with 1GB RAM as you're going to run only one OS at a time.

Both the OSes runs just fine even with one gig of RAM.

It would be better, depending on the user. That's why I said "might." But, sure, he can get by with 1 GB. Indeed, he already is.
