Solved Clean Up After Purchasing Additional Windows 8 Keys

As you know, you can purchase additional Windows 8 Pro Upgrade keys (up to five--and today is the last day for the cheaper price) via the Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant... you just burn an ISO rather than continuing with the install.

But if you're not upgrading to Win8 on the computer that you used to get the keys, you're left with all the system files and stuff that were downloaded by the Upgrade Assistant. Somewhere--I think on this forum--I saw a procedure explaining where to find all the folders/files to delete to clean things up. But I can't find it! I've scanned the tutorials, but I'm overlooking it (or maybe getting too old). Can anyone point me to this procedure?

Check out this thread. You may have (probably have) only one of each of the files, etc., mentioned below. Be sure and check out the "hidden" link. "%UserProfile%" refers to your user folder at C: > Users.

2. Next, delete the hidden%UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WebSetup and C:\ESD folders to get rid of the downloaded installation files.

3. Next, delete the Install Windows shortcut on your desktop.
