Ok, I have a 5 year old Alienware Aurora 7500. It has the It is deked out in this fashion.
AMD 2.8 GHz 5600+
Foxconn 590 SLI mobo
8 gigs of GSkill ram
Western Digital 500 GB HD (which I am trying to install onto)
EVGA 550Ti 1GB video card.
My issue is as follows. I have tried to install the Win 8 Pro upgrade from a USB stick from within Win 7 and from just booting from the USB stick itself. What I am seeing are graphical glitches. I thought maybe it was the video card doing it, but I have since tried a 6600 GT and an 8800GT. I am at a loss on how to fix this. Anyway. I am able to do the install, however after it is done getting the devices ready, it reboots and I no longer have any kind of display. I am at a loss. I would appreciate any help you can give me.
