Solved Space requirements on fresh install?

Hi,
I just purchased a neww 120 intel 520 ssd to load win 8 pro on and here is my question. I loaded win 7 and all updates then used the upgrade dvd I bought for win 8, I was under the impression from what I have read that it was only supposed to use about 20 gigs of the drive mine however is using 33.5 gigs of the 111 that the drive has? All that I can see that it has other than the os is it loaded the most current nvidis drivers for my graphics card but that should not be 13.5 gigs! What did I do wrong on this install and how can I fix it?

You done a in-place upgrade, not a clean install

ok did a reset and only used about 16gigs which left 95.5gigs, updated and went to 93.6 or something like that. I have not downloaded anything just started win8 up and looking around noticed this morning that it is already down to 88.2 gigs? this thing is bleeding gigs and I have no clue where they are going! I went in and found the system protection which was set a a little over 5 gigs, took this down to about half that but did not help with the space on the drive. What is going on? I bought the SSD to speed things up and mainly for the os but should I be losing gigs of memory like that?
