Hello,

I have downloaded Windows 8 Pro 64-bit through the students/partner site and burnt it on a DVD..
When I boot from it though I get many types of errors....the most common is 0xc0000098 that says that my PC needs to be repaired and that one or more files are missing or contain errors...I have also tried burning 3 different dvds with different programs to make sure it's not a program's fault but still with no results...Any help will be appreciated!!!

Thank you!

Well what I forgot to mention is that when booting from the Windows 8 DVD I don't even get to the setup screen...it just dispolays the error message before that point after the first windows 8 logo appears..

Can you give us the error code on the black screen in the lower left?

Actually it's a blue screen...I tried twice again to boot from the dvd and it displayed me different errors each time...the first has to do with the kernel with a code 0xc0000098 and the second one said that one of the devices isn't connected or can't be accessed with a code of 0xc000000f...

This looks promising:
Fix Boot Error 0xC000000F (An Error Occured While Attempting to Read the Boot Configuration Data) - FlashBoot and EBCD Articles

You could use that for 0xc000000f (Just make sure you have the basic keyboard and monitor plugged in only)

AND..

Fix Boot Error 0xC0000098 (Windows Boot Configuration Data file does not contain a valid OS entry) - FlashBoot and EBCD Articles

You could use that for 0xc0000098 (Just make sure you have the basic keyboard and monitor plugged in only)

That's a breakdown but you can give that a shot and see if that helps for us.
