Asus P8P67le MB and Intel 2600K CPU
Just for my info, two queries...
When F8 is pressed during POST a menu offering the following choices appears...
SSD drive (Windows 7)
SATA drive (Windows 8)
CD/RW
DVDRW
Both W7 and W8 boot normally; there's no problem. But when I attempt to
boot the SATA (W8) drive from the F8 menu the repair console appears ... and cannot repair. ???
When the SSD is chosen, the dual boot menu appears, as it would during normal POST. Can we conclude that this is
simply due to the way the MBR is written? It's of not real concern - just curious.
Question 2...
If a bootable USB drive were in place during the F8 procedure would it be one of the boot choices?
There is a NON-bootable USB on board. But, as noted in the list above, it does not appear. Thanks
