SSD offset bad

I have Win8 Release Preview on my SSD. MSinfor32 shows:

Partition Starting Offset = 32,256

So 32,256 / 4,096 = 7.875, but this should be an integer number.

I want to upgrade to released Win8. How can I do this and get the proper Offset?

This is a desktop computer I built three years ago. I have Windows 7 and Ubuntu on a 500 GB hard disk. My goal is to put the Win8 system stuff on an SSD partition with my user stuff on an HDD (the 500 GB disk) partition. I also want to put a Linux system on a second SSD partition with it's user stuff on another HDD partition.

Here is a great tutorial on the subject of getting the proper offset for your SSD. Usually though, when you run the Windows installer and allow it to partition and reformat your disk, it will set up the proper alignment as well. If you put Linux on another HDD, just remember to disconnect your SSD with Windows 8 from the system. Otherwise the Linux bootloader may overwrite the Windows bootloader on the SSD. That is, unless you want it that way. I usually use the boot manager in system bios to boot up OSs installed on other drive, as it keeps each installation separate. That way, if you find out you don't want one of the OS's anymore, you don't have to worry about deleting it and then having problems with the boot manager on the other installation.
