I am attempting to create an NTFS partition in the unallocated space on my hard drive to be used as a shared data partition between Ubuntu 12.10 and Windows 8. I have attached a screen shot from Disk Management to show my current hard drive status.
My problem is there is a maximum number of partitions allowed on a drive, and apparently I'm maxed out. What do I need to do. In response to Disk Management informing me I was maxed. out on partitions, I deleted the 2.5 gig Linux swap partition which wasn't necessary, then rescanned the drive but disk management still says I cannot create another partition.
Any suggestions.
Thanks in advance for any assistance you may provided.
Happy holidays to all.
