Many Win8 issues resolved after moving from dual-boot

I had Win8 and Win7 in a dual boot config on my main desktop PC and I was having many issues with Win8. I couldn't print to any printer (USB or LAN connected), couldn't connect reliably to my server, couldn't see the libraries on my server reliably, random freezes and reboots. I installed an SSD in place of the 2TB hard drive and reinstalled Win8 as the only OS and none of those issues occur now. The hard drive isn't bad and it doesn't seem to be a hardware issue but the dual-boot config seemed to be very unreliable and error-prone. Anyone else see anything like this? Thanks!

Just the opposite. Win 8 works perfectly (now that I have resolved my connection problem), but for Win 7 I had to get Microsoft to recognise my setup as genuine!
Happy Christmas and wonderful New Year to you and yours,

Never had issues because I don't have dual boot. Thanks for the notice, seems important.

Win7 is on another pc and if I need it alongside Win8 I'll put it in VMware machine. Anyway, all programs I use work fine in Win8.

Merry Christmas!

    That's basically it.
It's not strictly the presence of both Win7 & Win8 on the same PC, or for that matter, on the same drive -- as I have that and have had no troubles at all with Win7 resulting from the install of Win8.
