Solved Some questions about re installing.

I'm preparing my Windows 8 desktop to be sold (I need the money). It is currently using a UEFI setup which is complicated to work with, so I'll be reinstalling for BIOS boot.

My question is: When I reactivate it, which key do I use? I got the Media Pack, so do I just use that key? Or do I use the first key, then manually add the Media Pack again?

Turns out that yes, you have to use the first key to install, then you can add feature later.

I had used audit mode to install drivers and to add Media pack, and upon reboot (i forgot to wipe the other drives), it prompts me for a product key and rejects both.

So DON'T INSTALL MEDIA PACK IN AUDIT MODE. i think it just doesn't work

update: After finally getting into audit mode, I used Search in order to find "activate," and it quickly activated without prompting me for a product key. I think it is working, but I'm still a bit nervous because upon activating it lists the product key as unknown. Once I finish clearing the other drives I'm going to try a couple things to make sure it's fine.

So so far it seems I just need to tell the user to hit "skip", and it will automatically activate with the proper key. But I did a reset to see if I can avoid that.

Turns out resetting undoes EVERYTHING done in audit mode, which is sort of ok because all I really need to install is a driver for intel's management engine.

update seems that using audit mode always removes the product key. That's annoying, but not a really bad problem.
