I recently installed/purchase Windows 8 to my old computer. I'm looking to sell my old computer which has Windows 8, I'm planning to downgrading it to Windows 7 & since you can't have Windows 8 on more than 1 computer. I want to know if by uninstalling it from my old computer if it will be able to installed to my new computer and there will no problems like having to purchase Windows 8 again. Please let me know. :D

Welcome to EightForums.

If your Windows 8 is a upgrade, you can not install to your new PC.

What about upgrading the software? The software covered by this agreement is an upgrade to your existing operating system software, so the upgrade replaces the original software that you are upgrading. You do not retain any rights to the original software after you have upgraded and you may not continue to use it or transfer it in any way. This agreement governs your rights to use the upgrade software and replaces the agreement for the software from which you upgraded. After you complete your upgrade, additional software will be required to playback or record certain types of media, including DVDs.

As you would have NO original software.

Not even if I uninstalled it from my older computer & later installing it to my computer? Note: the old computer won't no longer have Windows 8.

Your Windows 7 will need to go to new PC also. Leaving your old PC with NO OS.
