Hi all. I am having a problem with installing Windows 7 on my netbook (Novero Solana). I did a clean install (wiped out Windows 8) and when using a USB boot install of Windows 7, I encountered the following error (Disk 0 Unallocated Space):

"Windows 7 install Error "Setup was unable to use existing system partition because it does not contain the required free space".

The other partition on my netbook is System Reserved (Disk 0 Partition 1: System Reserved), but I don't want to touch it, as I have heard it contains important files e.g. bootup.

Attached is the screenshot of the "Install Windows" screen displaying the partitions. Help would be much appreciated.

Sounds like your system reserved partition is now too small having had a variety of OS's installed (note - only 9Mb free). You may have to expand it. Alternatively delete it and add the space to your windows partition. My Laptop runs ok without it. (Image it first!!!!)
