Unlike windows 7 I do not see an option to remove recovery partition. I have a gpt with 3 partitions as follows:

300mb recovery
100mb efi
931mb c drive

Any ideas how to remove recovery partition?

By deleting the Recovery partitions you lose Secure Boot.

Here is what it looks like, with 360gb unallocated for dual booting linux. Btw using mbr now switched from gpt. Reinstalled windows 7 to hd with mbr then removed recovery and system partition. Used EaseUs partition to move parttions to right, then extended c: drive. Finally shrunk c: by 360gb for linux use. Long hard way to do it but nobody was offering easier way. Oh I forgot after consolidating c: drive to one partition I reinstalled windows 8, not using upgrade option but install over existing windows 7 partition...when doing this I retain mbr remove windows 7 and tada no recovery partition, or gpt efi whatsoever. Just one windows 8 mbr partition, then I shrunk drive for linux dual boot option
