Graphics Card, Camera Problem

Hey Guys,

i recently installed win8 pro on my:

Sony Vaio E Series- VPCEB16FG
Core i3
64 Bit
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5000 Series (Microsoft Corporation- WDDM v1.20)

Well, recently when i wanted to skype, it came to my knowledge that it couldnt detect any camera... not only skype but the win8 'camera' application isnt working as well..

However, when i opened a windows 7 software which came pre-installed : Arcsoft web companion, the camera worked... whats going on? can someone please help me out with this?

also, what do i do about my graphics card because everytime i start my laptop, i get a popup regarding the graphics card and how its not working properly..

i will very much appreciate any help i get from you all
