How do I create a DVD using the download from the Windows 8 upgrade?

I just purchased the upgrade to Windows 8 Pro (£24.99 in the UK), downloaded and installed Windows 8 over an old XP system I had put on a spare disk drive on my system. The Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant did this for me.

My intention is to keep using my existing Windows 7 installation on my main disk and try using Windows 8 on the spare disk. Eventually I'll want to upgrade my main Windows 7 system using the upgrade I purchased.

I have saved the 2GB downloaded files used by the Upgrade ASssistant. How do I create a bootable DVD that I can use in the future to upgrade my Windows 7 system?

Click on the upgrade file created on your desktop, it will ask you some questions, one of them being something like do you want to create an ISO file, just say yes, it will create the file from the files on your disk, then just burn the ISO file onto a DVD.

When I upgraded the Windows XP system to Windows 8 the upgrade file was created on the XP desktop, which no longer exists - or maybe I'm misunderstanding what you mean.

Perhaps I should have created the ISO file when I had a chance, before I installed Windows 8, but I didn't. I'm hoping there is some other way to create the ISO image.

Any other ideas?

Have a look in windows.old file.
EDIT:
If you go to the email you received from Store(ie: the receipt), you can find the information for downloading, I have seen my product key and there's a link to click. Worth a try.

I missed the link. I've got the ISO file.

Many thanks for your help
