I am running windows 8 64-bit and when trying to install my video card drivers via disc setup, it says that no video card has been detected. However it shows up in the Display Adapters drop box in Device Manager. I have disabled my on-board graphics which sets me to a "Windows Basic Display". Also i have the AMD Catalyst Windows 8 Consumer Preview and installed but says in the log "the specified driver package was not installed for matching devices"

Help !

Try installing the windows 7 x64 bit driver, I have the 6970 and i'm using that driver for it without problem.

However I am using Windows 8 Professional, not the consumer preview or the pre-release version.

If that doesn't work try using windows update to find a fix for it, it might even mean you have to use a beta version of the drivers.
