I wanted to get some experience with Win8 before installing it on my HP laptop, so I installed it on my good, old IBM Z60m.
Everything so far has worked out good, minor problems have been solved, and Win8 is performing great. BUT Win8 seems to have problems in recognizing my screen. Win8 says the screen is a CRT and in fact it´s a LED with an ok resolution. As it is, Win8 gives me 2 options 1) 1280x1024 (startup picture of my grandson in the desktop option looks compressed) 2) 1024x768 (picture looks "oldfashioned"). - In Win7 it was possible to customize the screen resolution, so I have been looking for a kind like that in Win8, unfortunately without any luck.
Anyone, who has solved this resolution problem?
Best regards,
George, Denmark
