Is there a way to swap these values? default windows 8 drivers has 256 shared system memory but 0 dedicated video memory but after installing sis mirage 3+ drivers dedicated video memory has gone up to 256mb and shared system memory has gone low to 64mb. Editing sis drivers maybe? but how?

Shared memory is changed in the bios. Find the button to go into the bios and go under advanced or graphics, then look for video memory.

Shared memory bad, dedicated memory good.

Your driver merely enabled the use of the chips on board, personal, dedicated ram instead of eating into your system ram.

Maybe ill leave things as it should, tile app like videos really has a crappy FPS and is unwatchable other than that video performance is good.

May have to wait for an updated driver specifically for windows 8. (Cross fingers)

The poor/choppy video performance is a common complain in the CP and RP releases. Maybe it'll be fixed in RTM or maybe new drivers will be needed :/
