no crashes so far with the nvidia windows 8 update
i was getting the same crashes as most on this forum.
it seem to me to be a video driver problem just on the way it was locking up
another strange think i found on installing win 8 is that it change my audio output ie. my front speakers became my back and back my front with no sub woofer or centre .. reinstalled software all good now
so far i am liking windows 8 it has improved handling of my pc . as yet i havent played a game and i will try it soon
cya

Is the release preview the same as the consumer preview? It states it should not be used with the developer preview.

Release date: 2012.03.13... that is not the new driver, you just haven't noticed. And yes it makes my system crash too:) I'm using driver from 4/22/2012 ver.9.18.12.9665 hmm it crashes too sometimes, but not that often ;P
