Solved Your resolution is lower than 1024x768

I have a loptop that came with windows 7 32 bits
I installed windows 8.1 32, after the installing the graphic card it shows
'Your resolution is lower than 1024x768. Some items might not fit and apps might not open.'
(I have Asus eee pc seashell series 1015bx)

Go to Asus or AMD sites and download/install the latest drivers for your computer. I believe that model has the AMD HD 6250 graphics.

When I finished the installation, I click 'Yes' to reboot and ran into BSOD. I started the the computer and it works, and it's always the same problem with the resolution.
Do you think I should keep Windows 7 32 starter?

yes, it is

Have you tried setting the resolution manually?

I only find 1024x600

it weird, it didn't find '"Display1_DownScalingSupported' at all in my registry

by the way, I have just removed AMD catalyst. does that affect?

I reinstalled AMD Catalyst, but it's always the same prb

what if I update the BIOS? because there are other issues, like 'fn' doesn't work for the sound and other the brightness.

Same problem here. Weather, mail, calendars and similar apps in start screen won't open.
It's the highest resolution i can choose in settings.
I get a bit of a different message: "Your resolution is lower than 1024x600" - not 765, but it should be the same thing.

Sorry. Apparently, that tweak only works on nebooks using Intel graphics and the 1015 uses NVIDEA graphics. It worked great on the Acer netbook I used to have.

I recently upgraded another Acer netbook to Win 10 from Win 7 and Win 10 doesn't seem to have any issue with the native resolution of the netbook. Since the Win 10 upgrade is free, you might want to give that a try.

Btw, afaik, he would be able to change it even if it wasn't.

I was asking because of the BSOD problem and the driver installation issues.
